I'm going to start this story on a personal note – I can't stand it when people give their cars names. There's nothing more ridiculous if you ask me.

If you own a Fiat 500 that you've decided to name yourself, and I'm guessing there's a lot of you, Fiat is launching a service where you can get a unique name sticker for your car. Yay.

Over 333,000 Fiat 500s have been sold in the United Kingdom alone in the 12 years since it was introduced, and if you have one you can head to www.my-500.com, enter the name of your car, choose from a selection of 10 colours and then you will be sent your very own sticker – for free. Fiat says this allows Fiat 500 owners to 'proudly display the name of their car for the world to see', because that '500' logo on the back displaying the car's actual name isn't obvious enough.

Of course, this isn't the only personalisation option that Fiat's in-house aftermarket specialists Mopar are offering. There are other, more sensible options available on Fiat's UK website.

"Personalisation has been a big trend over the last couple of years but Fiat 500 owners have embraced this since day one," said John MacDonald, Mopar service, parts and customer care director. "By offering them a chance to take this one step further we hope that they will be able to add even more of their personality to their beloved 500."
