Pininfarina was keen to do a one-off special based on the Enzo Ferrari, Ferrari’s halo car from the 2000s. Thankfully, film producer James Glickenhaus sacrificed his own Enzo for the cause.
The end result was a car inspired by the Ferrari Le Mans racers of the 1960s. The P4/5 has gone down in automotive folk law as one of the first true personalised cars backed by a manufacturer. The same can’t be said for the track version though. That too was based on a Ferrari, albeit a 430 Scuderia. It looks like a Ferrari, it sounds like a Ferrari, just don’t call it a Ferrari.
