The end of summer is slowly approaching, but there are still several weekends that can be enjoyed before the fall covers everything in rain and fog. Meanwhile, Formula 1 teams are also having a short break – a vacation, created mainly for the engineers of the teams.
Here comes the natural question - what would you do if you are an F1 driver and have two free weeks and… well, millions of dollars? One solution is to follow Daniel Ricciardo's choice - spending free time in Monaco, cruising around in a brand new McLaren 675 LT. And photos from our friends at Autogespot.nl reveal he is indeed having fun behind the wheel of the British supercar.
Earlier this year, the Australian racing driver said his hat is officially in the ring in terms of on-road testing of the road-legal AM-RB 001 hypercar, developed as a joint-venture between Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing. To be honest, we are not sure whether he will have the chance to test the amazing vehicle, but he is apparently having good times in his own sports car during the short vacation.
And, well – he deserves it. Ricciardo finished second in the last Formula 1 Grand Prix in Germany in his 100th F1 start, although teammate Verstappen had passed him at the first corner.
The Belgian Grand Prix is scheduled for next week, and Ricciardo once again seems like one of the closest rivals of Lewis Hamilton, currently leading the championship with 217 points.
