Look, great as the Quail gathering, McCall’s Motorworks Revival, and the Pebble Beach Concours are, without a doubt, the highlight of Monterey car week is the Rolex Motorsports Reunion at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Why? It’s a car enthusiast’s sensory overload – some of the rarest, most beautiful race cars and sports cars you’ve ever seen being wrung out on of the world’s foremost race tracks.
This year, the Motorsports Reunion paid special attention to BMW, with its very own class of cars – see them all, here. But if you’re into race cars from all corners of the globe, some of the most spectacular examples can be seen lapping Laguna Seca this weekend.
We sent photographer Nathan Leach-Proffer to capture the essence of the Motorsports Reunion, and the result is a huge gallery of images below, showing the cars on and off track, up close and personal. Have a look and tell us which one’s your favorite, in the comments.
