For 14 years now, a crucial part of Monterey Car Week has been a remarkable gathering known simply as “The Quail.” Taking place at the Quail Lodge and Golf Club, the annual Motorsports Gathering combines the best of classic beauty and modern performance, and it’s truly a sight to behold.
This year’s Quail gathering marked the North American debut of the Bugatti Chiron, and world premiere of the Lamborghini Centenario Roadster. We also saw the Koenigsegg Agera XS in the metal for the first time, and caught the stunning BMW 2002 Hommage concept wearing a new livery. Speaking of BMW, a huge gathering of Z8s came out to this year’s Quail, as part of the automaker’s 100th anniversary. It’s probably the only time you’ll see this many Z8s in one place at the same time.
But rather than spoil all the visual treats, we instead invite you to scroll through the gallery below to see the best of this year’s swanky event. Photographer Nathan Leach-Proffer snapped over 80 images of the big cars and finer details from this year’s event; you’ll feel like you were right there with us.
