We all know someone who has bought a really good car, but when they tell you about it, they clearly haven’t a clue what they’re talking about. Here in the UK, such people usually drive BMW M-cars, or 911 Turbos.

Here’s the owner of a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 who knows he has bought something special and can reel off a few of the headline details, but is obviously just making stuff up. Especially about his encounters with Mustangs. And being able to afford a ZL1 by working part-time and selling Mustangs he won racing for pinks. And the 'brake light delete' option. I mean, what's that about?

If you're smelling a rat, you're not wrong. This is, of course, a rather brilliantly pointed parody by YouTuber Muscle vs Tuner. Pointed not against the 2015 ZL1 itself, a supercharged, 580 horsepower masterpiece. But against the kind of know-nothings that so often buy this kind of car just for bragging rights.

I recently came across just such a guy at the local car wash. He had a Porsche 996 Turbo that he was convinced made 600 HP after he had added a bigger exhaust to an otherwise standard engine. I tried to set him straight, but he was a lot bigger than me. Fortunately, this ZL1 is actually owned by a real enthusiast.
