The tuning kit adds more aggressive, carbon-fiber exterior parts and increases power.

The Mercedes-Benz G500 4x4² doesn’t do anything subtle. The SUV has a massive 17.2-inches of ground clearance, and side-exit exhausts lets its 4.0-liter biturbo V8 bellow. Now Mansory’s tuning kit makes the high-riding G-Class even brasher by adding even more carbon fiber parts and a vibrant blue paintjob. The upgrades are an interesting fit for this luxury off-roader.

Mansory’s carbon-fiber front end makes the G500 4x4² hard to miss. The firm’s new hood includes a big scoop in the center, and the grille prominently shows the tuner’s emblem. The company also adds LED headlights with carbon-fiber bezels. Vents behind the front fenders use the lightweight material, too, and the kit uses it for much of the exterior trim, too. Mansory refers the power-extending steps in the package as the “stairway to heaven.”

Buyers might be embarrassed to purchase such an ostentatious body kit and not be able to back up the wild looks for more power. Mansory offers them the Powerbox that takes total output to 479 horsepower (357.2 kilowatts) and 524 pound-feet of torque (710.4 Newton-meters) – 63 hp (47 kW) and 74 lb-ft (100 Nm) more than stock.

Mansory moderately upgrades the interior by adding carbon-fiber trim on the steering wheel and the firm’s aluminum pedals. It also reupholsters the seats in a mix of leather and carbon fiber.

While Mansory’s G500 4x4² is certainly ostentatious, the luxury SUV should still excel off-road. These vehicles feature dual springs and dampers for each wheel and portal axles. Mercedes’ tweaks create a vehicle that can go nearly anywhere while keeping occupants very comfortable.
