Rezvani is taming the beast by making it more comfortable thanks to new amenities.
The California-based specialty marque made the cabin of the standard Beast a tad plushier recently by giving it some carbon fiber and Alcantara. Now, Rezvani Motors is preparing a more comfortable version of the car which will come with proper doors, a removable hardtop, and air conditioning to keep you cool while you’re cruising on the highway in the super lightweight, mid-engined machine.
To make your journey more relaxing, Rezvani is dressing up the interior cabin in a combination of leather and Alcantara. The less hardcore Beast Alpha will feature carbon fiber bodywork and a six-speed manual gearbox just like the 1,650-pounds (750-kilograms) regular version, but it’s going to be a tad heavier given the added extras.
The Honda-sourced supercharged 2.4-liter engine will continue to provide motivation and will pack 500 horsepower. Details about performance are not available at this point, although the weight penalty will probably add a few ticks of a second as far as the 0-60 mph (0-96 kph) sprint is concerned which takes 2.7 seconds in the regular model. By being slightly fatter, the Beast Alpha most likely won’t be able to match the standard version’s 165 mph (265 kph) top speed.
Rezvani is already taking orders for those willing to pay a $1,000 refundable deposit. More details about the car will be published in the weeks to come, ahead of an official reveal programmed for the beginning of August. Anxious buyers should know that first deliveries will start later in the summer.
