Even at low speeds, the supercar is a pleasure to watch.
The Lamborghini Centenario sold out before the Italian supercar maker even debuted the carbon fiber model to the public. Lambo plans to build just 20 coupes and 20 roadsters at its famous Sant’Agata Bolognese factory. This excited videographer is lucky enough to be there when one of the rare cars takes a drive out of the workshop. He’s even willing to get a parking ticket to get a longer look at it.
Despite this guy’s enthusiasm, the Centenario doesn’t put on much of a show for the audience of photographers waiting outside the factory gate. The limited-edition supercar’s driver first has to wait for pedestrians to cross in front, and then there’s traffic in the way. The Lambo’s 770-horsepower 6.5-liter V12 barely rises above a rumble when pulling away from the workshop. The clip also captures the rear wing retracting into the body.
Since there are already buyers for all 40 Centenarios, clips like this might be the best chance to see one. If you want to get behind the wheel, Forza Horizon 3 at least lets you simulate the experience on September 27. The Lambo supercar had a starring role in the upcoming game's trailer, including some great shots of it driving on the beach.
