NA and fully-electric 4x4 duel.

It was only this weekend when we discussed the virtual idea of a future Tesla supercar and we were almost sure the Model S P90D has all it takes to underpin a supercar. Well, it turns out that’s not exactly true, as we’ve stumbled upon a video, showing a Model S drag racing a Lamborghini Huracan.

In fact, the clip attached below features the P85D that has the Ludicrous Mode installed, which means we are dealing with a dual-motor electric vehicle (503 horsepower on the rear axle and 259 hp on the front one). This might sound pretty impressive on paper – and it really is on the road too, but it takes more than just hitting 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in less than three seconds to win a drag race. Especially if you have a full-blooded supercar to fight…

This is the case with the race we are having here, as the Model S is standing against an Italian supercar with a naturally-aspirated V10 5.2-liter engine that sends 610 hp (448 kW) and 413 pound-feet (560 newton meters) of torque to all four wheels through a seven-speed automatic dual-clutch gearbox.

Who wins? We won’t spoil it for you, as it is really exciting to watch an old-school NA supercar drag racing a fully-electric vehicle.
