Sony Pictures Entertainment is gearing up for the release of the new Ghostbusters movie by giving us a closer look at the latest Ecto-1.

In the clip, director and co-writer Paul Feig explains that he sat down with fellow writer Katie Dippold and came up with a list of the most important things they should include from the original movie.  The list included slime and proton packs but the "main, number one thing" was the Ecto-1.

In the movie, Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones) borrows a hearse from uncle's funeral home.  Her female co-workers are less than impressed and transform the model into the Ecto-1.  While the end result isn't as cool as the original, it's not too shabby as it features a familiar appearance.  However, the pink roof is a subtle hint that this Ghostbuster's movie has four female co-stars.

The new Ghostbusters movie will hit theaters in the United States on July 15th.  It stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones.  Chris Hemsworth will also make an appearance as the group's geeky sidekick / secretary.
