U.S. police officer is kind enough to provide an in-depth look at the cabin of his Ford Explorer-based Police Interceptor Utility.

If you’re a good guy, most likely you’ve never seen the interior of a police car. You won’t have to commit a felony to check it out as there’s now a video on YouTube showing all the kit that comes with a Ford cop car. As you would expect, the cabin is packed with a wide variety of equipment necessary for everyday tasks, including a laptop, dashcam, radar, and a barcode scanner to verify a driver’s license.

The laptop is connected to a printer for ticketing drivers caught breaking the law, while underneath there are a bunch of buttons and switches to control the siren and lights. The police car’s cabin is crammed with a lot more stuff, including a medical kit, a breathalyzer, ballistic vest, and additional magazines of bullets for the on-board rifle and shotgun.

Needless to say, the Explorer’s rear seats are reserved for the bad guys which are being monitored at all times by a camera mounted up high. The seatbelts buckle up on the outside for safety reasons, so the police officer won’t have to reach over the suspects.

As far as the trunk is concerned, it carries a 300-foot tape measure along with a plethora of other items, such as a fire extinguisher, a rain jacket, a box filled with plastic gloves, and a bunch of tools. There’s even a meth test kit, as well as spare paper for the printer, some crime scene tape, gas mask, flares, PR-24 baton, pry bar, and other miscellaneous items.

Lastly, the Ford Explorer-based Police Interceptor Utility carries a stuffed animal to try and help calm down a kid in distress.
