A sinister look for one of the final 600LT Coupes produced.
The production of the McLaren 600LT Coupe is now complete and the British company has delivered one of the final examples to a long-time customer in Canada. This three-tone, one-off “Comet Fade” 600LT took McLaren Special Operations more than 120 hours just to complete the bespoke paint to both the entire exterior and some of the interior components. The outside is finished in Coriolis Blend as the main colour, which fades into Defined Burton Blue, which then fades into Atlantic Blue.
As you can see from the photos in the gallery, the entire roof has an exposed carbon fibre look, which is also visible on the front splitter, side skirts, rear bumper, rear diffuser, rear spoiler, rear wing, service cover hatch, door mirror casings, and extended side intakes. Gloss black 10-spoke forged wheels complete the package, hiding contrasting polished carbon-ceramic brake calipers.

The modifications to the car by MSO are not only of a design nature. The team has also installed carbon fibre racing seats and titanium wheel bolts, further reducing the unsprung weight. Inside the cabin, the Cerulean Blue is applied to the central mark of the steering wheel, interior switchgear, and as a contrast stitch to the Carbon Black Alcantara upholstery. The supercar rides on track-focused Pirelli P- Zero Trofeo R tires on all four corners.
Under the bonnet is McLaren’s 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 with a peak output of 592 bhp and 457 pound-feet of torque. The model weighs just 1,247 kilograms in stock form, a whole 96 kg lighter than the 570S upon which it’s based. Optional carbon fibre enhancements could further lower this number.
The base price of the 600LT Coupe was about $240,000.

A bespoke 600LT Coupé, featuring a portfolio of enhancements from McLaren Special Operations (MSO), has been delivered through McLaren Toronto. Commissioned by a long-time customer of the retailer, the exterior and interior finishes of the 600LT are inspired by the brightness and speed of a comet – an icy, small solar system body that produces a visually distinctive signature, fading from bright to dark.
In a painstaking multi-step process that took MSO technicians 120 hours to complete, MSO applied bespoke “Comet Fade” paint to both the exterior of the car and to several interior pieces. The MSO Bespoke Exterior Body Paint - Coriolis Blend – is made featuring MSO Bespoke Cerulean Blue, which fades into MSO Defined Burton Blue, which then fades into MSO Bespoke Atlantic Blue.
The artistic flair of the 600LT’s custom paint is contrasted with highly technical elements, including an MSO Bespoke Visual Carbon Fibre Roof Scoop, and three different Carbon Fibre Upgrade packs, which fit carbon fibre on the front splitter, side skirts, rear bumper, rear diffuser, rear spoiler, rear wing, service cover hatch, door mirror casings, and extended side intakes. Unsprung weight is further reduced with 10-Spoke Ultra-Lightweight Forged Wheels finished in Gloss Black, contrasted with Polished Carbon Ceramic Brake Calipers.
Further technical additions include the MSO Clubsport Pack, which features Super-Lightweight Carbon Fibre Racing Seats, Carbon Fibre Interior Upgrade, MSO Defined LT Gloss Finish Visual Carbon Fibre Roof and Cantrails, MSO Defined Gloss Visual Carbone Fibre Front Fender Louvres and Titanium Wheel Bolts. The interior is rounded out with the MSO Bespoke Coriolis blend applied to the Speaker Surround, while MSO Bespoke Cerulean Blue is applied to the 12 o’clock mark on the steering wheel, interior switch gear. MSO Bespoke Cerulean Blue is also featured as a contrast stich to the Carbon Black Alcantara interior.
While production of the 600LT Coupé is now complete, the order book for the limited-run 600LT Spider is filling fast. McLaren’s newest convertible fully embodies the McLaren Longtail philosophy: increased power, reduced weight, optimized aerodynamics, absolute driver engagement, track focused dynamics and limited availability. Unveiled in January, the open-top 600LT has almost indistinguishable performance to the acclaimed Coupé, thanks to McLaren’s carbon fibre Monocell II chassis, which requires no additional bracing or strengthening to remove its roof. The three-piece, retractable hardtop can be operated at speeds up to 25mph, with the simple push of a button.
Featuring a 3.8-liter V8 engine that produces 592bhp and 457lb ft of torque, the 600LT Spider’s 0-60mph acceleration is a blistering 2.8 seconds. Performance is further enhanced by both the lightweight carbon fibre bodywork that creates the Longtail silhouette and the fixed rear wing, which generates 220.5lbs of downforce at 155mph. Ultra-precise, track-focused handling is supported by a forged aluminum double-wishbone suspension system with recalibrated dampers, firmer engine mounts and a lightweight braking system. The 600LT Spider is fitted with bespoke, track-focused Pirelli P- Zero™ Trofeo R tires and the driving experience is further enhanced with quicker steering and sharpened responses from throttle and brake pedals.
