You can get all sorts of weird and wonderful extras with your car these days. From dog beds to coffee machines, there isn't much you can't get.

Rolls-Royce is aware of that, which is why its decided to introduce something that not only have we not thought of yet, but something that will set you back more than the price of a family car – although saying that, if you're forking out for a Rolls-Royce in the first place, price is clearly no problem.

The British luxury carmaker is rolling out a champagne chest, which costs 'just' £37,000. It says it's "suitable for the most extravagant of environments," which is an appropriate summary.

“The Champagne Chest by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is a contemporary and sociable addition to the Accessories Collection," said Gavin Hartley, Head of Bespoke Design, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. "The approach is that of designing a Rolls-Royce motor car; the finest materials are married with pinnacle engineering to provide an experience like no other."

"The Champagne Chest is crafted for those that seek a heightened sense of occasion in an elegant, entertaining manner and offers the irresistible allure of gadgetry."

The hand-crafted aluminium and carbon fibre piece comes wrapped in Natural Grain black leather and Tudor Oak wood. Basically the folks at Rolls-Royce looked in the exotic material catalogue and said 'yes'. Of course, with it being a Roll-Royce object, it is fully customisable as well. A caviar configuration is also available (pictured above), which includes two blini caissons, two Mother-of-Pearl spoons, and three porcelain bowls.

The chest opens at the touch of a button, with the illuminated central bay exhibiting four hand-blown crystal champagne flutes, which Rolls-Royce says are "arranged to evoke memories of a V12 engine".

So there you have it; world's most over-the-top car accessory. You're for £37,000... tax, of course.
