Few SUVs in the world are as extreme as the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. Infused with the 700-bhp 6.2-litre supercharged V8 from the Dodge Challenger / Charger Hellcat twins, it comes about as close as you can get to defying the laws of physics. It looks downright mean, but it still retains the Grand Cherokee’s tall, chunky, SUV profile.

Enter Dejan Hristov, a talented designer and rendering pro with a cool page at Bēhance.net. Using several other hot performance SUVs and crossovers for reference, Hristov created a rather striking portrayal of how a future Jeep Trackhawk crossover might look. The final product definitely has a concept vibe to it, but we rather like it overall.

It’s certainly unlike anything we’ve seen from Jeep, but we can appreciate the familiar design cues worked into this creation. The narrow grille is straight from the Grand Cherokee, and the high, straight-ish belt line is reminiscent of the current model as well. It’s bulky too, especially with the flared rear fender wings and tall backside with the steeply raked roofline.

In fact, the slotted roof with the rather short front clip has us questioning exactly where the supercharged engine on this Trackhawk coupe is located. The Hellcat V8 is rather compact with its pushrod design, but it seems like it would be a hard squeeze to tuck it up front. A rear-facing engine at the back with the transmission pointed forward could work, or perhaps we’re dealing with a high-performance hybrid, utilising a much smaller supercharged petrol engine in front with electric thrust at the back?

In any case, it’s a very interesting and futuristic take on one of the fastest SUVs currently available. We’re looking forward to seeing more from this artist.
