Eligible cars will get a certificate proving they've had all the necessary work completed.

Owners of classic Ferraris can now take advantage of a new manufacturer service programme that offers official maintenance services and certificates proving work has been carried out.

The Premium programme is available for a range of ‘modern classic’ Ferraris, including the 456 from the 1990s and the Enzo from the early 2000s, and provides eligible vehicles with a certificate testifying that all scheduled and preventative maintenance has been correctly carried out, and that all recall and service campaigns have been implemented. As part of this, the Premium programme includes the use of genuine parts to fix wear-and-tear items, such as brakes.

According to Ferrari, customers will be offered “a dedicated package of components” for mechanical parts such as the fuel and power steering systems. Although the Italian manufacturer makes no mention of pricing, the company is promising “special prices” for customers on the Premium programme.

And clients with eligible cars that receive the Premium certificate will also have “privileged access” to Ferrari Classiche certification on the 20th anniversary of the car’s first registration. The Classiche programme is a scheme run by Ferrari that effectively proves the authenticity of old models the brand considers modern-day classics.

The new Premium programme currently is only available for 13 models - and some of those could be considered variants of other vehicles - but Ferrari calls it a “complement” to the brand’s existing after-sales services.

As standard, all new Ferraris sold in the UK come with a four-year warranty (three years in other markets) and seven years of free maintenance. At the end of the four-year warranty period, customers can choose to extend the warranty for a further two years, and owners of vehicles aged six to 15 can opt for the New Power warranties, which cover “main mechanical components”.

Ferrari is also offering customers who took advantage of the seven-year Genuine Maintenance programme the chance to extend their cover with the Main Power guarantee, which includes the New Power warranty and covers the vehicle up to its 15th year after first registration.
