The top used hybrid isn't a huge surprise.
With the constant hoo-ha around petrol and diesel vehicles, hybrids are becoming more and more popular.
Now car data experts hpi has compiled the definitive list of the best petrol hybrids on the used market.

The petrol hybrid segment is one of the fastest growing automotive segments in the UK. Registration volumes have grown by 30.9 percent between October 2017 and October 2018. The growth means that 3.8 percent of all car registrations in that time were petrol hybrids according to Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) data.
To compile its list, hpi looked at petrol hybrid vehicles at two years old and 20,000 miles. Unsurprisingly, the Toyota Prius topped the list by holding 69.4 percent of its value after two years, losing £8,000 on average. Second on the list was the Lexus LC, holding 68.4 percent of its value, and the Toyota C-HR was third, keeping 67.2 percent of its value after two years.

"The popularity of hybrid cars continues to grow and they are becoming increasingly more visible on the UKs roads," said Chris Plumb editor from hpi. "All the major manufacturers have embraced hybrid technology and are producing vehicles to meet the demand for both commercial and personal use."
"Although still relatively expensive to buy outright, the benefits of driving a hybrid including economy and environmental advantages, are beginning to make drivers think twice about investing in a used vehicle," he added. "High mileage and poor condition examples should be avoided as they are a turn-off to second hand buyers. Finally always make sure you pick a vehicle with a full service history."
