The Nare Hotel, on the Roseland Peninsula, will rent guests a 4/4 for £250 per day.
A hotel in Cornwall has become the first hotel to offer its guests the chance to hire a Morgan during their stay.
The Nare Hotel, on the Roseland Peninsula, will rent out its Morgan 4/4 for £250 a day as part of a new partnership between the hotel group Pride of Britain Hotels and the Malvern-based car manufacturer.
Although The Nare is the first hotel in the collection to begin the scheme, the deal means that guests at any Pride of Britain hotel will eventually be able to rent a vehicle from Morgan’s fleet.
Steve Morris, Morgan’s MD, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer a unique partnership with Pride of Britain Hotel group. Guests staying at selected Pride of Britain Hotels around the UK will now be able to enhance their stay with the hire of a Morgan sports car.
“Driving a Morgan is an exhilarating and memorable experience, and one that we are certain will complement any stay at a luxury hotel. We’re thrilled that The Nare Hotel in Cornwall is the first hotel to offer a Morgan hire car; I can’t imagine a more idyllic experience than a stunning Cornish hotel and a traditional British sports car during summer.”
Having been in production since 1936, the two-seat 4/4 is the world’s longest-running production vehicle in the world, and the current iteration uses a 1.6-litre, four-cylinder Ford engine with 110 bhp to propel it from 0-62 mph in eight seconds and on to a top speed of 115 mph.
