Deposit contributions, special offers and discounts – it must be Christmas in Korea.

Kia has announced a whole raft of special summer offers designed to entice you in to buy one of the latest offerings from the Korean carmaker.

Offers include £1,000 off the firm’s plug-in hybrids if you take them for a test drive, a £2,000 scrappage bonus if you trade in your old car, and competitive finance rates with deposit contributions from Kia to sweeten the deal.

Kia says that there isn’t a better time than right now to test drive one of the cars from its hybrid range – its 192 dealers across the country are running the so-called ‘Hybrid Challenge’ until September. Essentially, if you give any of the Niro Hybrid/Plug-in Hybrid, Optima Plug-in Hybrid or Optima Sportswagon Plug-in Hybrid a go and you then go on to purchase one, Kia will give you £1,000 off the price of your new car. Good times.

The company’s latest scrappage scheme continues into the third quarter of the year too with a £2,000 scrappage bonus available on the Picanto, Rio and Stonic models if you trade in a car that’s seven or older. If you go for this offer you can get 4.9 percent APR on your finance package but that’s it in terms of stacking up deals.

Kia will give you a deposit contribution on some models if you go for the PCP package available – the Stonic and Sportage SUVs get up to £1,500 contributions from Kia, while the Niro Hybrid gets up to £500.

Finally, a new deal from Kia is its free servicing package on the new Stinger – the diesel model comes with the first three scheduled services free of charge, while the petrol versions get the first six – it’s supposed to be serviced every six months – visits to the dealership free.

Fancy taking advantage of one of these deals? You’d better hurry, the offers are time limited and available from all good Kia stores.
