You can watch the livestream straight from the London reveal of the all-new Ford Focus right here at 4pm, where Ford is set to take the wraps off its most important model at an event near East London's Olympic Park.

The new car is expected to be both bigger and more spacious than the outgoing model – models we know that are on the way will be the hatchback and estate versions, complete with plush Vignale options. Ford is also set to reveal a Focus Active model with SUV-like details and a taller ride height. The standard hatchback version of the car is easily the most important of the range, however, as it's guaranteed to sell in much bigger numbers.

Production of the new Focus will take place in Ford's factory at Saarlouis in Germany, following a massive investment in improved production facilities. Specs and engines will be confirmed later today, although Ford's 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo is expected to play a significantly role in making the new Focus more efficient than ever. A manual gearbox will remain the default option, at least in the UK, while the latest version of the company's dual-clutch transmission will also be available.
