Porsche 911 Turbo S – 205mph
The Porsche 911 Turbo S is a rapid machine. Thanks to a 572bhp turbocharged flat-six engine and all-wheel drive, 0-62mph takes just three seconds.
£160k gets you a 205mph top speed.
Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta – 217mph
The car is powered by the same 6.3-litre V12 with hybrid setup as the coupe model. It produces 789bhp and 520lb ft torque. The electrical system can temporarily boost power to a colossal 950bhp.
Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta – 217mph

Brabus Rocket 900 Cabrio – 207mph
How would you like a car that combines high-performance with the opulence of a Mercedes-Benz S-Class? Brabus got its hands on the Mercedes-AMG S65 Cabriolet and worked its magic to create the Rocket 900 Cabrio.
A 40th birthday present to itself, the Brabus Rocket 900 possesses a 6.3-litre V12 and 888bhp.
Porsche 918 Spyder – 214mph
This hybrid hypercar isn’t the only member of the 'holy trinity’ to make this list, but it is the only one to officially reveal its Nürburgring lap time of 6:57.00.
Just 918 were built costing £780k when new. Today they are worth double that.
Lamborghini Aventador SV Spider – 217mph

Mercedes McLaren SLR Stirling Moss – 220mph
The fruit of a relatively short-lived Mercedes and McLaren road car venture, the SLR Stirling Moss was an extreme variant of the GT car. Designed to emulate Moss’s record-breaking Mille Miglia Mercedes of the 1950s, it has no roof or windscreen.
Just 75 of these 641bhp supercars were built.
Noble M600 Speedster – 225mph
With a kerbweight of just 1,198kg and 650bhp, the M600’s speed shouldn’t come as a surprise. Its twin-turbocharged V8 engine powers the car on to a top speed of 205mph.
Its £300k price tag rivals many established supercars, but then so does its performance.
Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Edition – 254mph
Just eight World Record Edition cars were built, each special because they don’t have an electronic speed limiter fitted. A speed of 254mph is an astronomical for any car, let alone one that will let you take the roof off.
Hennessey Venom GT Spyder – 266mph
This open-top version of the Venom came into being at the request of Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler. A twin-turbocharged 7-litre V8 generates 1,451bhp and gets the Venom Spyder from 0-200mph in less than 13 seconds.
Koenigsegg Agera RS – 280mph
Not just the fastest convertible in the world, but currently the fastest car full stop. Like most Koenigsegg, the RS has a removable roof panel allowing the driver to hear that 1,160bhp 5-litre V8.
At 280mph you’d better hang on to your toupee.
