It also now comes with OnStar and full internet access.
Vauxhall has announced some minor upgrades to the interior infotainment system on its Zafira Tourer MPV. The people carrier is now available with the company's new Navi 4.0 IntelliLink integrated infotainment system.
The state-of-the-art infotainment and integrated navigation setup features a seven-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, Navi 4.0 IntelliLink and is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The navigation includes European road maps displayed in 2D or 3D.
The system also includes OnStar, Vauxhall’s personal connectivity and mobility assistant with services such as 24-hour Emergency Call, hotel room reservation and parking space locator.
Another feature of Onstar allows all passengers to surf the internet using their mobile devices via the OnStar 4G LTE wifi hotspot – handy when you've got a screaming toddler in need of some emergency Peppa Pig. You can also have destinations sent straight to the Navi 4.0 IntelliLink navigation system (Destination Download) via the My Vauxhall smartphone app instead of speaking directly to an OnStar advisor. The world truly is your oyster.
'Thanks to the high standard of connectivity, the lean, clear menu structures and the intuitive usability, Navi 4.0 IntelliLink makes the Zafira Tourer one of the best connected MPVs on the market,' said Sean Freeman, who is Vauxhall’s brand manager for Zafira Tourer, so he may be biased.
The Zafira Tourer range starts at £19,530 and goes all the way up to £30,495. Sat nav isn't available on all models – the first car in the range that you can have it is the Tech Line Nav model with 1.4-litre petrol engine that costs £21,225 on the road.
The Zafira Tourer is based on the same Vauxhall platform as the Astra, and has been on sale since 2011. It received a light facelift in 2016, which has bought it a few more years on the market, but we expect a replacement model before 2020.
