Sussex police are have launched an investigation after a mysterious crash on the A27 near Chichester in which a £1.5m Pagani Zonda was badly damaged after hitting the central barrier.
The police say that the car was travelling with other exotic cars through Tangmere on the outskirts of Chichester when the accident happened shortly after 7.30am on Saturday 21 October.
It's likely that the car was on its way to a charity track day for supercars being held at Goodwood by parts company Saywell International.
PC Peter De Silvo said: 'We believe the Pagani was travelling in convoy with some other supercars from Worthing to Chichester but no other car was at the scene upon police arrival. Thankfully the driver of the Pagani was uninjured.
'We are appealing to anyone who saw this car driving on the A27, we are hoping someone would remember as it is so distinctive.'
