DS Automobiles' all-electric DS E-Tense concept car has made its UK debut in, of all places, a shopping centre.
We'd be infinitely more impressed if the French car maker had snuck in its new DE E-Tense concept and DS 7 Crossback SUV to Westfield shopping centre (parking can sometimes be hard to find), but the special celebratory film featuring Formula E racing driver Sam Bird was an official collaboration.
Bird got behind the wheel of the DS concept for what was not only the first time the car has seen action in the UK, but also the first time any car at all had been driven inside the Westfield shopping centre in White City, London. That they know about, of course.
The bright green E-Tense concept Concept was first shown at the 2016 Geneva motor show and uses the company's expertise gained from Formula E involvement to produce 396bhp, 381lb ft of torque and zero emissions.
Also in action was the DS 7 Crossback, a new SUV that will be launched soon by DS Automobiles and was most recently spotted as the official chariot of newly installed French president Emmanuel Macron earlier this year.
