The £12.4m hybrid yacht takes styling cues from Porsche's sports cars.
Porsche’s design company, Studio FA Porsche, has teamed up with Monaco-based yachbuilder Dynamiq to produce this stunning high-performance hybrid touring yacht.
The GTT 115 Hybrid is a 35m-long, all-aluminium luxury cruiser with a maximum range of 3,400 nautical miles and a top speed of 21 knots (24mph).
Just seven examples will be built, with each one costing more than £12.4m – it's no Aston Martin submarine, but it looks quite nice.
The vessel’s design takes cues from the automotive industry, with the pillars supporting the flying bridge inspired by the Porsche 911 Targa’s roll hoop and the lights on the bow designed to look like a sports car’s headlights. Studio FA Porsche even collaborated with Dynamiq on the GTT 115 Hybrid’s Rhodium Grey paintwork.
Below decks, the yacht’s propulsion system is also related to automotive technology, with a diesel-electric hybrid system providing power to the GTT 115’s propellers and on-board electrics.
Roland Heiler, Studio FA Porsche CEO, said: ‘Taking the spirit of high-performance sports car styling to the high seas, the Dynamiq GTT 115 is designed to appeal to car lovers and forward-thinking yacht owners who appreciate the advantages of speed, style and our philosophy of intelligent performance.’
Speaking at the yacht’s unveiling at the Monaco Yacht Show last week, Dynamiq CEO Sergei Dobroserdov added: ‘The GTT 115 draws on the latest technology to combine comfortable high-speed cruising with efficient fuel consumption and long range.
'Her bespoke hybrid system with three variable-speed generators are tributes to our strong belief in the sustainable future of yachting. We decided to limit production to seven units to make the GTT 115 a true collector’s item.'
