Mercedes-Maybach has revealed its new 6 Cabriolet concept at the Pebble Beach concours d'elegance in California.

The concept is powered by an electric engine that produces 738bhp and has a range of 311 miles. Mercedes says that the six-metre long car has been designed using 'Art Deco proportions', and features a 'boat tail' to recall luxury yachts.

The car sits on 24-inch alloy wheels, and Mercedes claims sports-car like performance figures, with a 0-62mph time under four seconds and the top speed limited to 155mph. A 350kW quick-charge function in the electrical system means you can add around 60 miles of range in five minutes of charging.

The interior blends white quilted leather, a wooden floor and fibre-optic cables to distinctive effect. Mercedes describes the inside of the car as a 360-degree open-air luxury lounge.

The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Cabriolet was launched at the end of 2016 with an exclusive run of 300 models, but there are currently no plans announced to take the 6 Cabriolet into production.
