It must be nearly Christmas – the French car maker has money-off savings of up to £1,300 as well.
To combat slowing retail sales, Peugeot has launched a series of summer special offers for the 208 range, which include a healthy £2000 finance deposit contribution across every model in the range. Part of the Peugeot ‘Summer Drive’ campaign, the £2000 saving is available both on Peugeot Passport PCP and the Just Add Fuel lease-style scheme.
As if that wasn’t generous enough, big cash savings for Peugeot's Ford Fiesta and Volkswagen Polo rival are also available. There’s £600 off the Black Edition, £1100 off the new Allure Premium special edition and up to £1300 off other key versions. Meanwhile, low-rate finance of as low as 2.9 percent APR is offered for those with the best credit ratings.
Peugeot’s launched that Allure Premium model in answer to those calling for more upmarket 208s but who don’t want to fork out for the individual options to get one. It’s paired with the 1.2 PureTech 82 engine, which helps keep the price manageable, and includes matt black alloy wheels with machined surfaces, Cielo panoramic glass roof, dark-tinted rear glass and folding electric door mirrors.
A colour reversing camera and electric rear windows are standard, as is ambient lighting, and Peugeot will even let you pick from 10 colours including the rather distinctive Orange Power metallic shown above left. It costs from £16,565; if you prefer to pay monthly, deals start from £164 a month – compared to £149 a month for the base 208 Active. Something, we’re sure, Peugeot dealers will be more than happy to highlight to bargain-hunters.
Peugeot also adds that its Just Add Fuel deal is available to drivers as young as 18; all they need to agree to is the fitment of Telematics Box car insurance. The only proviso is that they must drive well: if they receive four warnings for poor driving, the insurance risks being cancelled...
