Jaguar has released an official behind-the-scenes video detailing how its dedicated team put together an impressive stunt for the launch of the new E-Pace SUV in London in July.

Stunt driver Terry Grant took the E-Pace through what is now officially the world's longest barrel roll, as supervised by Pravin Patel from the Guinness World Records organisation.

The 15-metre long jump involved a 270-degree mid-air corkscrew and required a 160-metre run-up in order to gain enough speed to successfully make the jump.

The team had carefully planned the stunt using the latest computer software to ensure that it all came off successfully.

Terry Grant said after his record-breaking jump: 'As far as I am aware no production car has ever cleanly completed a bona-fide barrel roll and it has always been an ambition of mine to perform one ever since I was a boy.'
