If you’re a supercar owner seeking ultimate Porsche 911 bragging rights, you need to act fast and buy one of the 500 new limited-run 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series editions. That’s because a 27hp power boost takes total output up to 607hp: Porsche has never made a series Turbo with more power.

Such a monstrous output is good for 205mph flat out, and a 0-62mph time of 2.9 seconds. You won’t be stopping to fill it up all the time either, as it still does 31.0mpg, and Porsche sensibly fits PASM active suspension and PDCC dynamic chassis control as standard, along with PCCB carbon ceramic brakes.

Potent as it is though, it’s unlikely to be power that’s the sole attraction of the new Exclusive Series. The first model to wear Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur badges in the division’s 30-year history, this is a car that’s been given a thorough hand-crafted makeover in Porsche’s fancy in-house specialist workshop. Even by the exalted standards of 911 supercars, it’s special.

Painted in vivid Golden Yellow Metallic, carbon fibre bonnet, roof and side skirts have been fitted for added exclusivity – along with dual carbon-weave stripes for the roof and bonnet, plus a carbon fibre ram air scoop for the tuned-up engine. Black 20-inch wheels have Golden Yellow colouring laser-applied to the outside edges, and there’s more Golden Yellow lettering for the Porsche logo on the brake calipers.

If you don’t like Golden Yellow, other colours are available.

More Porsche news:

The interior has had a makeover, with features such as two-layer perforated leather – there’s a Golden Yellow layer beneath the black top cover – and you get a numbered badge on the dash. There are a few surprise optional extras as well: a Porsche Design chronograph watch that only Exclusive Series buyers can have (for £8,700), and a matching five-piece luggage set that again is just for the Exclusive Series 911.

Porsche launched the new Exclusive Series at Highclere Castle, home of Downtown Abbey, this week, suggesting it expects the limited-run 607hp Turbo S edition to prove popular in the UK. If you’re in the market for one, then, our advice is to not hang about. You have some round of pub boasting to go win.
