Welsh driving school buys two Ignis to sit in for 45,000 miles a year.
Driving instructors Alison and Kevin Crompton have bought two new Suzuki Ignis for their driving school, the Baglan School of Motoring, partly because they are “comfortable to sit in for hours on end”. An important criteria: they are now going to sit in them alongside learner drivers for an epic 45,000 miles a year.
The new Ignis is the eighth Suzuki the Port Talbot couple have bought for the driving school, which teaches 150 people a year to drive. “We have always been fans of Suzuki’s small cars,” gushed Kevin: “This is the perfect model to learn in, as it’s straightforward to park, and simple to manoeuvre through narrow city streets of out on the open road.”
The couple’s two new Ignis are both flame orange models, fitted with dual controls by the Suzuki dealer in Bridgend. They say they picked the Ignis because it looks smart, has good-looking 16-inch alloys, wheelarch extensions and sat nav. It also has a standard reversing camera – Motor1 checked with the DSA and can confirm students are allowed to use on their driving test, so long as they don’t solely rely on it. Making the school’s new Ignis an even more popular choice, perhaps?
If you too are looking for a car with seats comfortable enough to win approval from someone who might be sitting in them for eight hours a day, six days of the week, Suzuki’s currently offering the Ignis on a 5.9 percent APR finance deal, with three years’ free road tax – and a year’s free insurance. Perfect for new drivers, provided they’re aged 21 or over…
