Aston Martin’s posh Q division built a lovely one-off Vanquish Volante called the AM37 Edition to mark the firm’s partnership with Quintessence Yachts. Beautifully finished on Concours Blue, with a unique Aniline leather white and tan interior, it’s gorgeous – and it’s now up for sale.
Up for sale at a price, that is: £236,950. That’s around £21,000 more than a brand new Vanquish Volante S, a much-revised car with a whopping 600 horsepower. But the S isn’t a one-off: the AM37, says retailing dealer H.R. Owen Reading, is calling this “one of the rarest Aston Martins in existence”.

If you were in any doubt, a special plaque was fitted within, reading: “Specially commissioned by Q to commemorate the AM37 yacht launch – 1 of 1”. Surely, if you own the yacht, you’d have to get the car to go with it as well?
It oozes opulence. The Bond-nodding Q department went to town with one-off quilting and colours, Q Conker Saddle carpets (with, yes, 'Q Conker Saddle' carpets), a Q Rosewood fascia, Q Fender and Buckle Badges (naturally, with ‘white enamel infill’) and a bespoke Q tailored luggage set.
“It’s a one-of-one car that isn’t available anywhere else and is the ultimate piece of Aston Martin memorabilia,” said Aston Martin Reading general manager Ian Barrow. “And as it was commissioned in line with the launch of the AM37 powerboat, it’s a true luxury product and a celebration of automotive and nautical excellence.” How’s that for a sales patter?
