"Ines de la Fressage Paris" is a mouthful but does come with a free Voyageur bag.
Eager to push its luxury fashion brand credentials, DS has launched its new ‘spring/summer collection’. Keen to remain exclusive, the new special edition is strictly limited to just 200 units – meaning 200 special Ines de la Fressage Paris bags will now be gracing DS 3 models in dealer showrooms from May.
Yves Bonnefont, DS Automobiles brand director, reckons it’s part of its plan to ramp up its bespoke appeal, by “cultivating rarity… finding two identical models is quite the challenge”. This one thus has an Ink Blue body with Opal White Roof and Ines Red door mirrors and wheel centres. The rear windows have red, white and blue ‘airmail’ branding.
Rich Granit Blue grained leather upholstery features inside, there are more of those airmail logos and the unique Ines Red colour adorns the dash insert panel. This could well be the first car in the world to come with Ines’ baby deer logo printed on the dashboard. He’s called Leon.
As an upmarket DS 3, standard kit includes sat nav, LED headlights, Apple CarPlay Mirror Screen infotainment, auto lights and wipers and 17-inch black diamond-cut alloys. Oh, and the Ines de la Fressange leather Voyageur bag, which has been matched to the Granit Blue interior.
Engine choice is capped to just two; either the three-cylinder 1.2-litre turbo petrol (with manual or auto), or the 1.6-litre turbodiesel. Neither costs less than £20,000, signalling this car’s high-end intentions. But for such exclusivity (and that fancy free bag), surely there’s at least 200 buyers out there who think it’s worth it?
