"Quick Mick" gets behind the wheel of a Mercedes-AMG A45 in a new funny web series.
Kids, there's no fast-track to passing your driving test. Even if your name is Schumacher and you’re a very talented Formula 3 driver, you still have to get your licence like the rest of us. Michael Schumacher's son Mick is duly thus taking lessons: cue a new web series from Mercedes-Benz dubbed 'Fahrschule Furious'. 'Fahrschule' is German for driving school. See what they did there?
While many driving school cars barely hit the three-digit horsepower mark, Mick Schumacher has the opportunity to learn how to drive on public roads with a Mercedes-AMG A45 packing a meaty 375 hp. His instructor is German comedian Markus Stoll, aka 'Harry G' (you know Harry G, right?), and in this first of five episodes, he teaches Mick some of the basics, like how to check the oil level, where to find the warning triangle, and how to use the turn signals.
During the 'lesson', Mercedes-Benz brand ambassador Mick receives a message from none other than Nico Rosberg, the recently-retired Formula 1 champion. Michael Schumacher’s son also learns from the rather grumpy instructor how to fire up the hot hatch’s turbocharged 2.0-litre engine and use the accelerator pedal. What with him being a race car driver and all, it doesn’t come as a big surprise he steps on the pedal *slightly* too hard at first.
The other four episodes will be released in the following three weeks and will star safety car driver Bernd Mayländer as well as soccer player Mesut Özil, with Linkin Park music playing in the background.
18-year-old Mick Schumacher is currently at Hungaroring with Prema Powerteam for the official pre-season Formula 3 test, ahead of the first race of the championship at Silverstone scheduled for next month.

A comedian as driving instructor, a racing driver as driving school pupil and the new Mercedes-AMG A 45 as their car, these are the ingredients for the new online car comedy featuring Mick Schumacher and Harry G. Viewers can follow Mick and Harry G in five funny episodes as he gets his driving licence.
The first instalment will be out on 21st March, the day before Mick’s 18th birthday. Subsequent episodes will be released on the social media channels run by Mick, Harry G and Mercedes-Benz in the three weeks that follow.
In a Mercedes-AMG A 45 which has been transformed into a driving school car, Mick is given five important lessons from taking a roundabout, parking the car and motorway driving by his grumpy ‘ driving instructor’. Forming an integral part of the show throughout, slap-stick jokes and comedy from Harry G in interchanges with Mick and a number of guest stars.
Mick is making his debut this year in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship where he will race for Prema Powerteam, running the Mercedes-AMG Formula 3 engine. One of his team-mates will be Maximilian Günther, who is the official test and reserve driver for the Mercedes-AMG Motorsport DTM Team. The online car comedy with Harry G will be Mick’s first appearance as a brand ambassador for Mercedes-Benz.
Bavarian comedian Markus Stoll, also known as Harry G, quickly gained a firm place in the German comedy and cabaret scene and has also been a sensation way beyond Bavaria’s borders. His viral video clips have been watched over 100 million times and have long enjoyed a cult following. Harry G has more than 400,000 followers on Facebook.
