Owners of cars from the McLaren 'everyday' Sports Series range – the 540C, 570S, and 570GT – can now buy a range of accessories to better protect their car during such everyday use. There's also a new range of styling goodies, as part of a new collection now available from McLaren retailers around the world.
To start with, McLaren is offering both indoor and outdoor covers to protect the Sports Series cars’ bodywork and paint, as well as new branded floor mats and cargo-area mats. There are even new 'skid plates' designed to mount beneath the cars and protect the delicate front diffusers from scraping against kerbs or speed bumps. Remember, McLaren's eager for people to use their Sports Series cars in daily use, just as people use Porsche 911s for the daily grind. This new set of protective bits and pieces should hopefully encourage more to do just this.
As to customisation, McLaren plans to offer various new wheel designs, as well as various paint colour options for the cars’ brake calipers. There are also new exterior carbon fibre replacement parts, all of which are said to save weight over the original parts. The range includes new side intakes, mirror covers, side skirts, front splitters, rear bumpers, rear spoilers, rear diffusers, and rear decklids.
For the inside, look for optional coloured seatbelts, a carbon-fibre steering wheel, enlarged shift paddles, and carbon trim for the switches and infotainment surround, upper speaker trim panel, and door sills.
Of course, there’s also the McLaren Special Operations range, which helps customers further tweak and personalise their new British supercar. MSO has shown off a variety of personalised cars recently, even including the new 720S that debuted earlier this month at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

A new range of official options and accessories developed by McLaren will allow owners of 540C, 570S and 570GT to protect their vehicles from the elements and the rigours of road driving, and give them even more individual appeal. The collection of meticulously crafted upgrades is available for all McLaren Sports Series models and can be purchased from, and fitted by, McLaren retailers.
McLaren protection products designed to keep the high specification materials of the Sport Series in pristine condition include indoor and outdoor vehicle covers as well as branded floor and luggage bin mats. Also available are front skid plates, which protect the aerodynamically-optimised front diffuser from contact with the ground.
Customers wanting to add a personal touch to their Sports Series can choose from a wealth of beautifully crafted exterior and interior customisation options. Exterior modifications include a wide variety of expertly engineered, forged alloy wheel designs available in stealth, silver and diamond cut finishes, as well as several lightweight and coloured brake calipers.
