For Cactus buyers who want to blend in...
Like the look of Citroen’s popular C4 Cactus, but don’t want the ‘fun’ appearance of the standard model with its bright paint colours and contrasting Airbumps? The French car manufacturer has revealed its new Onetone special edition, which features featuring black paint, black Airbumps and black alloy wheels.
It sounds like it goes against the whole ethos of the Cactus to us – but then it does look rather mean in its Obsidian Black paint with ‘Onetone’ graphics on the rear quarter panels. Based on the range-topping Flair model, the Cactus Onetone comes with front parking sensors, Citroen’s Park Assist self-parking feature and tinted rear windows. Inside, there’s a two-tone leather steering wheel along with a navigation system and six-speaker stereo.
The C4 Cactus Onetone uses the regular PureTech 110 engine – a three-cylinder turbo petrol unit producing 110hp and good for a 0-62mph run of 9.3 seconds and a top speed of 117mph. Officially, it returns 65.7mpg and CO2 emissions of 100g/km.
The regular Citroen C4 Cactus has proven popular since it went on sale in 2014, with many taken with its quirky appearance and trolley-deflecting Airbumps. Last year’s Rip Curl special edition featured Rip Curl stickers, gloss white roof rails and orange seat belts.
Prices for the Onetone will start at £19,020 when it goes on sale in the UK in April – an increase of around £700 over the standard Cactus Flair.
