BMW 850 Ci
The angular shape of the 1990s BMW 8 Series still looks attractive to our eyes. Hammond liked the shark-like appearance, too, and he owned the V12-powered 850 Ci model. While not quite as potent as the range-topping 850 CSi, these models still offered up to 322 bhp, which was impressive by the standards of the time.
Dodge Challenger SRT-8
Do you remember the episode of Top Gear where the hosts went to the United States? Clarkson had a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1; May drove a Cadillac CTS-V, and Hammond was behind the wheel of a Dodge Challenger SRT.
Rather than being a rental or press car, Hammond actually bought the Challenger SRT. This wasn't the modern Hellcat or 392, though. It packed a 6.1-litre V8 making 425 bhp.
The Jaguar E-Type is one of the icons of British motoring. Hammond bought one as a gift to himself for his 40th birthday.
Just look at this image to see why he'd want to own such a beautiful machine.
Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder
If you could afford a Lamborghini, wouldn't you own one, too? Hammond's salary definitely covers the cost. He has owned Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder packing a 5.2-litre V10 making 552 bhp and running through an all-wheel-drive system. It was quite a way to enjoy roof-down motoring.
Land Rover Defender 110
Apparently, one Land Rover wasn't enough for Hammond because he had a Defender 110, in addition to the old Range Rover. He overhauled the rugged SUV with a revised suspension, the rear axle from a Land Rover Discovery, and a roll cage.
Land Rover Range Rover Classic
The Land Rover Range Rover was one of the earliest vehicles to combine a premium interior with off-road capability. Hammond owned a 1985 example with a leather interior and walnut wood trim.
After watching lots of Top Gear and The Grand Tour, we know that Hammond has a fondness for three types of vehicles: motorcycles, muscle machines, and British cars.
Given his love of England's automotive heritage, it was only natural that a Morgan eventually found a space in his garage. Clarkson made fun of Hammond's Aeromax for looking crosseyed, but the Hamster clearly enjoyed its BMW-sourced V8 powertrain.
